Martin, your beautiful nature touched the hearts of so many people who had the honour of knowing you. I had the privilege of knowing you for many years. Just one of the memories I recall was a day trip we planned to Blackpool. We saw Blackpool Tower from a distance as we boarded the tow truck, to take us home, following a mechanical breakdown. You nicknamed your car Blue Thunder and I rememberd saying are you sure it wasn't hit by lightning before you bought it. We spent many happy years in the dojo practicing the art of karate, as we trained from white to black belts. You were equally gratious in triumph and defeat in tournaments and despite getting cracked ribs on one occasion, still found time to make everyone laugh. We shared many meals over which we put the world to right. Martin I love you as a Brother and a piece of my heart is broken as I have lost someone who is far more than special in my life. You may have left this earth but will forever be in our hearts. If St Peter needs any help with security at Heaven's gateway I am sure you will be there, complete with shiny shoes and Kurt at your side. May God bless you and may you rest in peace until we meet again my amazing friendxx.
